_A small village in the country of The Sudan, the far north where sand covers every inch. There you find clay houses surrounded by hills of sand. Where you experience extremes of climates and where traditions play a major role.
_ A society leading a simple life style. Its where i come from. Young generations (us) have outgrown this small village chasing our dreams, ambitions and aspiring for more to cope and to catch up with the fast developing world of technology ( the city life ).
_ We * alhamdullah * have the luxury of being able to go back and visit Karmakol. When we reach everything seems to pause and slow down. You relax under the night sky wounder upon the stars and enjoy the linger under the moon light. Fresh air, fresh meals and a cold cup of water from ALZEER ( clay jar used to store water) taste so delicious.
_ You wounder how very simple people can be very generous and caring. How a very traditional society can be very accepting , welcoming and peaceful. A trip to the nile bank where palm trees are as far as u can see seems very luxurious.
_ I wish for this place to continue to be a heaven of peace and simplicity. For those who live in it to prosper and grow. And for Karmakol to continue to remind us of the elegance of simplicity.
